League Week 1 of 8 Report (6/8/12)Tonight marked the beginning of a brand new league season at the Forge with the current champions "The Chalfonts" only managing to finish in 7th place tonight. On the other hand last seasons runners up "Just the two of us" came second this evening just half a point behind this weeks winner "Team Brown bear" who won tonight's quiz with a score of 54.5/75. Overall It was a generally close quiz with most teams within a point a so of each other. With regards to the league, there are no surprises in the league positions this week as it is the first week of the league tonight results mirror the league positions.
League Week 3 of 8 Report (20/08/12)"1064" made it 2 win on the bounce winning this weeks quiz with a massive 62/75. They were 9.5 points ahead of second placed "Izzy wizzy lets get quizzy" in which was a very good week for them. In third place was "the Lemonheads" who were just 1 point behind "Izzy wizzy" with 51.5/75. Overall tonights quiz was very close with the main pack incluing teams such as "Just the two of us", "The Filthy Five" and the current title holder "The Chalfonts" all within half a point of one another.
Tonights results mean "1064" finish week 3 of the league, a massive but catchable (at the moment) 20 points ahead of the current champions "The Chalfonts" in second. The fight for second and third however is a bit more tighter with 2.5 points between 2nd (Chalfonts) and 3rd (Lemonheads) and 4 points between 3rd (Lemonheads) and 4th (Izzy Wizzy). .
League Week 5 of 8 report (02/09/12)It was very close quiz this week at the Forge as "1064" were stopped in there tracks and prevented from a record breaking 4 wins on the bounce by "The Lemon heads" who won tonight quiz with a score of 53.5/75. They were just 1 point ahead of current league leaders "1064" who finished second with 52.5/75. Then just behind them by another point "just the two of us" finished 3rd with a score of 51.5/75. "The Chalfonts" & "Filthy Five" finished joint 4th with a score of 50.5/75. "Izzy Wizzy", "Hit me with your quizzing stick" and "Help is on the way" all had a tough week finishing with scores in the high 30's and low 40's!
League Week 7 of 8 Report (15/9/12)Appologies, Its been a week and I have not done the report so consequently I have totally forgot what happened this week other than it was three wins on the trot for the "Lemonheads" who won this weeks quiz with a score 62.5. They narrowly beat the chalfonts by 1 point who finished second and champions elect "1064" by 2.5 points who finished third. Next week is the final week of league 11 and it looks like the top three will stay as they are in the league.

League Week 2 of 8 Report (13/8/12)This evening "1064" won there very first forge pub quiz with a score of 56.5/75. They were a whole 6 points ahead of there closest rivals "The Filthy Five" and "The Chalfonts" who finished joint second. Then Just behind them in fourth was"The Lemon heads" with 46.5/75. It wasn't such a good week for our young teams "Izzy Wizzy" and "Hit me with your Quizzy Stick" both scored less points than they did last week. As did "Nothing between the ears" scoring 20/75. However they were a one man team this evening so in fairness a respectable score. This evenings scores and "Just the Two of Us" being missing tonight mean we have a new league leader in the shape of 1064. They are then followed by current champions "The Chalfonts" in second and "The Lemon heads" in third. With only a quarter of the season gone however there is still a long way to go and things can and do change.
League week 4 of 8 Report (27/8/12)As we hit the half way point of the season, "1064" further increased there lead at the top of the league by winning this evening quiz and third one on the bounce with a score of 63/75. There win this week was a bit tighter compared to last week with rivals "The Chalfonts" coming second with a score of 59/75 and "The Lemonheads" coming in third with 58.5/75.
Not much has changed in the league from last week with all the teams further cementing there current positions in the league. However a shock result or return to form from a team would change all that and put a major spanner in the works for all teams!
League Week 6 of 8 Report (09/09/12)Another close quiz again this week that see's "The Lemonheads" make it two wins on the bounce winning this weeks quiz with a score of 62/75. They were followed closely followed by lead leaders and champions elect (Unless they have a major collapse) "1064" who finished second with a score of 59/75. Then in joint third was "The Chalfonts" and "Filthy Five" who both finished with 58/75. "Izzy Wizzy" had a good week this week finishing 4th with a score of 53.5/75. "Hit me with your quizzing stick", Help is on the Way" and "Nothing between the Ears" continued there steady form finishing tonight's quiz in the mid to high 40's.
No changes at the top in the league with "1064" firmily rooted at the top, "The Lemonheads" split the tied second placed position from last week to open a four point lead over third placed "The Chalfonts" to go Second in the league outright thanks to there victory this weeks.
League Week 8 of 8 Report (23/9/12)It was a record breaking night at the forge this week as we draw to a close league number 11. The Lemon heads won this evening quiz, there 4th win in a row (A Forge Record) We also recorded our lowest ever quiz score of 8.5/75 achieved by "The Two Amigos" Finally the "Chalfonts" didn't manage to equal there own record of three successive league titles in a row as they were beaten to the post this time by "1064" who have now been crowned the Forge Inn Quiz champions.
A big thank you once again to all the teams who attend and support the quiz on a regular basis. This current season has been the best attended season ever, so thank you. I look forward to seeing you all next Sunday when we begin league 12 and "1064" start to defend there title. Paul : )
